Duniya Ka Mela

The film was started under the name (Apna Paraya) and starred Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha. After a month long shooting, Amitabh was replaced by the director. The director's reasoning was due to Amitabh's then flop status, no distributors were buying the film. Amitabh even shot for a song with Rekha . Amitabh was replaced with Sanjay Khan and the title of the film was changed to "Duniya Ka Mela". The film flopped and Amitabh's Zanjeer became a blockbuster. The song shot from the film with Amitabh can be seen on YouTube. This film is not to be mistaken with another the shelved film "Ek Tha Chander Ek Thi Sudha" starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Badhuri. That was directed by C.P. Dixit and produced by Kailash Kapoor. That film was based on the novel Gunahon Ka Devta. (Not to be confused with the Jeetendra film by that same name.).
