This film essentially begins with the head of a powerful Yakuza organization collapsing of a heart attack and being taken to a hospital emergency room. Although his wife "Hazuki Sakanishi" (Yoshiko Mita) puts on a brave front, she fully realizes that if her husband "Takeo Sakanishi" (Tetsuro Tanba) dies there will be a power struggle involving his loyal lieutenant "Testuro Akamatsu" (Ken'ichi Hagiwara--who has just been released from prison after serving 8 years for murder--and Takeo's powerful rival "Kae Terada" (Emi Shinado). Along with that, Hazuki has developed a romantic interest in Akamatsu which she has tried to hide from everyone as well. So, immediately upon the death of her husband, she not only attempts to help Akamatsu take over the Sakanishi Organization, but also tries to win his affections at the same time. Unfortunately, this is complicated by the fact that another woman named "Misao Nogata" (Rino Katase) has already taken over the role as his mistress and has no intention of allowing Hazuki to lay claim to him. A problem arises, however, when a younger woman named "Misato Hanai" (Naomi Zaizen) catches Akamatsu's eye and inadvertently creates problems for him and the other two women as well. Now, rather than reveal any more, I will just say that I didn't think this film was quite as good as it's other two predecessors mainly because of the lack of action and suspense necessary for a film of this type. Likewise, there really wasn't much chemistry between Ken'ichi Hagiwara and any of the three actresses mentioned previously either. Be that as it may, while it may not have risen to the same standard as the other two movies, it still wasn't bad by any means, and I have rated it accordingly. Slightly above average.
