Amy Schumer is out of the Barbie movie. Variety reports that Schumer dropped out of the project after scheduling conflicts. The actress will be promoting her upcoming movie Snatched as well as She Came To Me and will not be able to jump on set quickly enough to meet the film's June 2018 release date. 

Tough break for Schumer, although it's not as though the reaction surrounding her attachment to the project was exactly glowing. I think she would've made the film a little more interesting with her comedic style, but believe it or not, I'm not champing at the bit to see a Barbie movie. "Survivor: Worlds Apart" fourth and fifth place finishers Rodney Lavoie Jr. and Sierra Dawn Thomas called me as a package deal on Thursday (May 21) morning following the "Survivor" finale. The pairing probably spared Rodney lots of repetition about the various sexism and misogyny charges leveled through the season and discussed through the finale. Those issues came up in our conversation, but it wasn't the meat of the exit interview. In a season with a 6-1-1 vote, I let Sierra and Rodney defend casting their respective votes for Carolyn and Will instead of eventual winner Mike. We discussed a few strategic points in the game, we circled around the sexist comments, the edit and who apologized to whom. And we talked about Rodney's birthday and his feelings about Tom Brady's suspension in Deflategate. Which Rodney compares to excessive attention to "Survivor" sexism. Paired interviews are a good way to deflect problematic questions!

Smash star Christian Borle is back at NBC with another series lead role, this time on the comedy side. The Tony winner is set to star in NBC’s multi-camera comedy pilot Lifesaver, from writer Wil Calhoun, Universal TV and Peter Traugott’s Tbd Entertainment. The odd couple comedy centers on two polar opposites, the uptight, controlling and a bit neurotic Dr. Graham Permenter (Borle) and loose cannon Leon (Jonathan Ryland), who become inextricably linked after Leon saves Graham’s life by giving him a kidney. Borle, who won a Tony for Peter and the Starcatcher, recently co-starred on NBC’s hugely rated live staging of The Sound Of Music. James Morrison has revealed that his upcoming third studio album is his most "real" and "heartfelt" release yet. The Awakening is the follow-up to 2008's Songs for You, Truths for Me and will be released on September 26. The singer-songwriter explained that he needed a restart of his career despite scoring a big hit with his previous album. "Despite the huge hits I had, I felt out of place," he told The Sun.
