A bad attempt at Australian comedy

As a viewer I think in general Australian television is shocking, but occasionally has a few bright lights. This is not one of those bright lights. Once it's predecessors (full frontal, fast forward etc) were good, and instead of ending it when it was good, they dragged it on and on and on and on. Worthless rubbish.

An absolutely PATHETIC attempt at comedy

Australia has produced some of the best sketch comedy in recent years . . . until now. It's pathetic shows like this that gives Australian T.V a bad name. The actors do their best, but the writing is some of the lamest ever witnessed in the history of Television. This show is just so bad, you might actually feel the need to smash up the T.V, just so there's no chance you'll ever watch it again. I think they give the audience ecstasy just so they laugh a little. The worst Comedy/sketch comedy ever produced.

Failed attempt to resurrect an already dead program

Why did the producers attempt this show? It's predecessor 'Full Frontal' had already been canned in 1997 due to falling ratings and the fact the show just wasn't funny anymore. Maybe the fact that it won a Logie the previous year for Best Comedy Program as well as good ratings for old 'Fast Forward' re-runs convinced them that there was still some life left in the old horse.

Well they were wrong. The biggest mistake by far was that nothing new was even attempted - they just continued straight on from where it's predecessor left off. Occasionally something fresh, original and maybe even funny would turn up but on the whole it was just the same old retreads again and again.

Conclusion - a flop. They should have let it end with the cancellation of the original 'Full Frontal'.

Had its moments but ran out of steam in the end

Totally Full Frontal was revived after Channel 10 decided to revive Channel 7's Full Frontal after the show ended its run in 1997.

Most of the original cast members such as Eric Bana, Glenn Butcher, Shaun Micallef, Kim Gyngell and Daina Reid moved on and only a two of the original cast members such as Ross Williams and John Walker from Full Frontal crossed over along with many new faces.

The original Full Frontal was hilarious thanks to Eric Bana, Glenn Butcher, Shaun Micallef and Kim Gyngell, and they were sorely missed when they moved on. In fact, Full Frontal started to lose its magic touch when Eric Bana left the show and from there the show was never the same. Totally Full Frontal might have had its moments but it certainly did not have the same original spirit of Full Frontal.

Though the show did enjoy moderate success in 1998, by 1999 the show has totally run out of steam and by then I had lost all interest. By the end of 1999, Channel 10 thankfully did not renew the show for another season. Other similar shows such as "Skithouse" and "Comedy Inc" were definitely not the same as Full Frontal and from there, there has not been a similar show since.

Totally Full Frontal might have been a good idea to resurrect the show and it had its moments, but unfortunately the show was never the same and by the end it was certainly time to call it a day.

    6/10.

    Was okay

It was seemingly funny when I was a kid and stayed up to watch it, but having seen it as a grown up I couldn't rekindle the fond memories I had growing up.

The fond memories I had of the Ross Williams and John Walkers of the Full Frontal era didn't translate over to the Totally Full Frontal era. The overacting of the cast together with thin talent in Australian comedic writing that just hasn't evolved since the late 80's and early 90's.

Unfortunately, finding reruns of this program online has only made me scratch my head as to why I watched this program. I guess as my juvenile mind has evolved, my love comedy has gone past this type of show.
