The movie is addressed to all who experience pain and suffering and that by praying to God for help sometimes we get the "push" to live and lead our lives according to God's plan. Although the movie speaks of the Christian religion its message is universal: lead your life to help others. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. Love your children, your neighbor, your family. That seems the common thread. From a cinematic perspective, the fact the audience "sees" the miracle it provides the empathy for the hero of the movie.
Characters that lack depth or uniqueness can be forgettable and fail to resonate with the audience. Good writing involves creating well-rounded characters with distinct personalities and motivations.
In summary, what makes a bad movie writer is not just a lack of technical skill, but also a failure to engage the audience with a coherent, original, and emotionally resonant story. It's about striking the right balance between all the elements that make a movie memorable and satisfying.

David Cass: No, her name is "Ann." Her title is "Mom." As in, the "Mom and the Dad."
Joe Cass: Well, the "Dad" and the "Son" have things to talk about.
