Sita Thompson auditioned for the role of June, but producers wanted a name actress and cast Emmy-winner Roxana Zal instead. Thompson was then cast as June's friend.

Michael Madsen only shot for two days.

Sita Thompson said that when she first met Michael Madsen on set, he leered at her and asked if she was playing a stripper. When she said no, he said, "Fuck that. If you were the stripper, I'd rent the movie every day of the week." That really creeped her out. Then he made it worse by telling her she had nice legs and that she should become an actual stripper because she'd look good.

Sitting in on the dailies, Sita Thompson told the producer that Roxana Zal told her that even though she agreed to disrobe, she was less than enthusiastic about doing it because she'd never been nude onscreen before. That meant she may try to back out of it. The producer asked Thompson for some input and she said add more strippers to Zal's club scenes. That way, even if Zal didn't strip, there'd still be plenty of nudity. The producer liked the idea, so Thompson, who had been nude in other films and knew actresses who had done the same, called three of her friends to play strippers. Thompson agreed to strip too even though her character wasn't originally written as a stripper.
