Alternate title : "peur panique" (panic)
There's no panic,let alone suspense ,in this two bit thriller ;in spite of the excellent cast ( Daniel Gélin , René Dary ,Noel Roquevert ,Dany Carrel -do you wanna see her naked in her bath tub?-), the derivative screenplay drags on and makes you yawn your head off.....
An american is released from jail ; he's been out all of five minutes when he's given chase to by people who want to know where stolen diamonds have been hidden .....a story which is a saddening bore ,for the average viewer has at least seen it a hundred times or more. It seems that towards the end, the screenwriters suddenly realized how dour it was and tried to enliven things a little by revealing family secrets;but it's too little ,too late....
