Llovizna

The film starts in southeastern Guatemala where our protagonist Eduardo is having an affair with his secret lover Luisa. He comes into a large sum of money which he must transport back to Mexico. He gets in a fight with his lover and hits the road. Meanwhile a group of Indians are gathered in their home village for a funeral of a child. On the way back Eduardo crashes his car and is aided by the four Indians who ask him for transportation back to Mexico. Feeling somewhat of an obligation for helping him he agrees to drive them back. He slowly starts to lose his mind, paranoid that the Indians have malicious intentions. Since the Indians are speaking Nahuatl the whole time he has no clue what they are saying, this combined with his own prejudices lead him to believe they are conspiring against him. I won't give away too much of the plot as to not spoil it. This character is the perfect antihero. He is on par with the character of Meursault in the novel L'Étranger. The film reminded me a lot of The Swimmer with it's class commentary. No English dub or subtitles exist that I know of sadly and I'm still trying to track down the home video release which I can only find references to but it is available to watch on Youtube in Spanish.
