At the beginning, the very young Daniela (Annarita GRAPPUTO) is driving her Cinquecento through summery Rome when she is flirted with intensely by a model Papagallo (Gianni MACCHIA) on a Vespa. A star role for MACCHIA, who one might have already seen in BLOODY FRIDAY (1972), LA MALA ORDINA (1972) and VACANZE PER UN MASSACRO (1980). It soon turns out that this Valerio has been hired by Daniela's rich father (Giorgio ARDISSON) as a kind of "stud" (this is what the Italian original title refers to) for his spoiled daughter. There seems to be a lot wrong in Daniela's family. She herself is too attached to her father. Her mother Francesca (Dagmar LASSANDER) on the other hand is having a hard time with her husband, because nothing is going on in the bedroom anymore. Completely frustrated, mother Francesca also gets involved with the penniless artist Valerio, which in turn miraculously gets her husband back on track. But haven't the three of them forgotten Daniela too much? Things are about to get dramatic...
The film by Tiziano LONGO seems like a typical photo romance from Italy, but garnished with sex scenes that were quite daring for the 1970s! Only the censored version can be seen on YOUTUBE, but you can imagine the rest very well! An erotic summer spectacle from Bella Italia, which is also mixed with dramatic undertones.
The cast is definitely interesting! Giorgio ARDISSON, who is known from heroic roles in ERCOLE AL CENTRO DELLA TERRA (1961), GLI INVASORI (1961) and FÜNF VOR 12 IN CARACAS (1966), surprises as an impotent voyeur.
The German actress Dagmar LASSANDER can show off her screen-filling sensuality. With her versatility, which she was able to show in Italian classics such as RED WEDDING NIGHT (1970), THE RAT'S NEST (1974), THE BLACK CORSAIR (1976) and FLATFOOT IN AFRICA (1978), she became a busy CINECITTA diva of the 1970s. She was also in the seventh season of the successful Italian series LA PIOVRA.
Despite the excellent cast, the film is not convincing in terms of drama. It is obviously only about the eroticism on display. Nice to look at, but the conflicts depicted are incomprehensible.
Probably rightly disappeared into obscurity!
