Bazooka County 5: The Jugs

Watching this rather silly porn comedy, after a while I wondered about the camerawork -why were all the explicit shots missing, you know, cunnilingus shown with only the back of a head showing on screen? With no money shots provided I eventually realized this was a full-length softcore version of the XXX movie -director Herschel Savage having shot enough soft coverage to prepare a cable-friendly version.

Aimed at broad comedy, the central premise is dubious in terms of crossover aspirations. Alicia Rio runs a strip club in the South where religious folk and a corrupt sheriff threaten her business, so she books the mainstream superstars The Judds to perform music there. Instead, The Juggs, busty Dominique Simone and Heather Hart, show up as a live sex act. Hack writer Cash Markman is responsible for this stupid joke, and there are overtones of a more serious issue, resistance in the Bible Belt to interracial sex, that is not pursued.

Even the credits are sloppy: a no-name performer Tony Studd is credited as the bible-thumping reverend, when in fact the role is obviously played by Terry Thomas.
