The movie was shot over two weekends. During the week,
Michael G. Kehoe was working on the feature film
Les nouveaux associés (1994) at Sony Studios. On Friday night he loaded a truck with camera equipment, grip and electric equipment from the stage where they were shooting Cops and Robersons. The producer
Ronald L. Schwary told him to "make sure he had the equipment back at the studio before Monday morning's shoot, and if anything happened to the camera call me first!" Needless to say all went well. After the film was cut there was a screening at Sony in a small theater with about 99 seats. The film was shown four times due to the size of the crowd that showed up. The projectionist was surprised that the film had not been submitted for the Sundance festival and was told that it had missed the deadline. He took the film, and 10 days later, Kehoe received an invitation to screen the movie at Sundance 1994.
