Twin Sitters is a 1994 comedy that centers around two body building twin brothers who are hired by an informant to protect his twin nephews from the people he's informing on.
I'm sure a lot of people are probably not a fan (if they've even heard 0f) the barbarian brothers films led by Peter and David Paul, but I've always loved them. Twin Sitters is a silly comedy that gets a lot of inspiration from some of the classics of the genre like the three stooges, so the jokes are quite childish ad goofy at times which some might not find all that funny. The premise is simple but effective setting up the Barbarian Brothers with plenty of comedic scenarios to play with, and a fun atmosphere to thrive in.
This movie won't go down in the history books as an amazing film, but it is definitely a fun watch for the whole family. If you haven't seen Twin Sitters before, give it a chance because the kids should like it if nothing else.

For many millennials, the movie "Babysitters" is nostalgia for childhood, a symbol of the mid-90s era: flashy tracksuits, a Nintendo console (for our tube TVs - dandy), cool cars and hip-hop. It is under this sauce that John Paragon shows us an uncomplicated story about the adventures of twins Peter and David (the script, by the way, was written specifically for the Paul brothers).
The comedy looks pretty stupid with jokes a la Kevin McCallister, the lustful cleaner Lolita, infantile (and frankly stupid) jocks, their strange clothes, fights, chases. But for those who associate "Babysitters" with childhood, this film is about charismatic big men, about love for a home teacher, about showdowns with kids and, of course, a huge monster truck!
By the way, the film is popular only in the former CIS countries (that's why there are so many positive ratings on Kinopoisk), but at home it is almost unknown (compare the number of ratings on IMDb) and was not even shown in cinemas: either the creators understood that the viewer is unlikely to go to watch another comedy about the war of adults and children, whether because of competition with the movie giants, released in the same year.
The plot of the comedy is based on the already hackneyed story of the confrontation between children and adults.
Twins Peter and David are hapless waiters in a family restaurant, they love to cook and spend all their free time lifting weights. One evening, they accidentally save an influential businessman from an assassination attempt, and later he hires them as babysitters for his nephews... also twins! Anticipating a large fee and complete freedom in a large mansion, Peter and David agree and begin their duties, but the kids had their own plans: to bully and bring out the adults.

This movie starts out looking like a big stinker and for the first half hour or so it is. Then it suddenly falls into place. It stops being about The Falcone Brothers (Peter and David Paul) flexing and starts being a touching story of orphaned twins (Christian and Joseph Cousins, superb as always) coming to terms with their situation. Worth renting, but probably not worth owning.

A great movie for all ages, especially for people with a goofy sense of humor. The Barbarion Brothers act like big kids throughout the whole movie, always putting jokes first. One of the funniest things about this movie is the brothers' outfits, kinda like a mix of David Lee Roth and The Ultimate Warrior, but even weirder then that. Can't help but laugh at em, for one scene David is wearing a phone cord with a sign on it! This is probably my fave Barbarion Brothers movie, and their last one! (come on guys make a new movie, please!)
When the film starts the brothers are trying to save up money to open a restaraunt, until they get hired to babysit two twin boys. From then on its pretty much a bunch of funny mishaps and adventures trying to get along with the twin kids, a few fight scenes with the bad guys, and the bros driving their monster truck. I always crack up at the scene where the brothers first get their big paycheck, and they totally lose it like little kids, jumping and givin high fives, yellin "MONEEEEY!" There's actually a lot of great scenes. Also of note are the songs the Barbarion Brothers wrote for this movie, they are really funny. This has got to be one of my favorite comedies ever, really goofy, but if you're only into serious movies, I'd say watch it anyway to see adult bodybuilders act like funny kids! It'll cheer you up for sure.

THIS is the best 90's comedy EVER made! I challenge you to find a better movie than this. The Barbarian Brothers are at their acting peak as Peter and David Falconi, two musclebound twins who are fired from their job as waiters at the world's most disgusting Italian restaurant. They try to get a bank loan (unsuccessfully) and are bemoaning their loss in a local park when three gangsters try to shoot a local shipping tycoon (played by John Paragon) who's decided to inform on his nefarious bosses' activities. Anyways, the Brothers save all the kids from the snipers, and become local heroes--and get a NEW job, working for shipping tycoon as the babysitters for his twin nephews, Bradley and Stephen. Bradley & Stephen are the world's most uptight preppy blond identical brats, and so the Barbarians face the considerable challenge of enlightening them to the wisdom of pasta, funky-ass clothes, and riding around in their monster truck. The Barbarians fall in love with Stephen and Bradley's tutor (who looks like Jennifer Connely) and end up duking it out with the bad guys. THE TWINSITTERS DRINKING GAME: take a shot every time the Butler drops a tray! I dare you!

Thomas: [approaching The Barbarian Brothers] Uh, David and Peter Falcone?
Peter Falcone: Yeah, what's your name?
Thomas: Well, my name is Thomas Sedgewick...
Peter Falcone: [grabbing a pen and writing an autograph] Okay! "To: Thomas. May all your ups and downs be in bed! Peter Falcone." There ya go!
- Versions alternativesThe UK version (released as "The Babysitters") was cut by 31 secs by the BBFC for a PG certificate with edits to shots of kicks and blows during fight scenes, closeups of the boys in the fake hanging scene, and all shots of electrical cables and sockets during the scene by the swimming pool.
