Avis à la une
The main character, choices are just plain stupid. He makes so many mistakes not wanting the shot after his second awakening is probably so stupid, he'd rather be in pain . Not much of a back story, he seems to be like being incarcerated. At least he gets to show off his muscles. Can't really think how to fill 500 words on this review, accept to say, you'll never get back the 1 and half hours you've lost watching this movie. One of those films that you start to watch, and watch to the end, as you can't believe what your seeing. Finally as with the film, I've managed to ramble on for 500 words, and bored you must be.
The film chooses to be sci-fi and then it chooses to have melodrama as well? Doesn't work when there is little attention to acting, and the script is poor. There is one scene in particular that goes on too long and you just can't take it seriously, but let's have your viewing ruin it for you!
A really low budget science fiction thriller, seemingly a riff on the fun Christopher Lambert B-movie FORTRESS. This time we get Gary Daniels sent to a space prison for a crime he didn't commit before vowing to escape. Very dark, very ordinary and middling, with ham acting from the supporting players and a dearth of action, so little to recommend it. Meg Foster and Jeffrey Combs are entirely wasted in tiny roles.
Although made on a low budget, this movie manages to have some good effects and suspenseful escape scenes. Daniels gets few chances to show off his awesome fighting skills, instead focusing on his performance. He gives a excellent performance, proving he can do more than fight. You actually feel sorry for Roger Mason and understand why he makes the choices he does. 6 out of 10.
In a dystopian future, a prisoner named Mason (Gary Daniels) keeps escaping and suffering the same consequences- being frozen in cryo-sleep for years at a time, then experiencing the loss, or advancing age of his loved ones.
SPOILER is a low-budget film with grand aspirations. It's also bleak and rather depressing. If you're in desperate need of a "feel good" movie, then this one might make you jump out of a high window!
It's always good to see Meg Foster and Jeffrey Combs. But they're sort of wasted here...
