I give this horrible film 1 out of 10. Not only the acting is way below par, but the camera shots are often confusing and the changes in tone and color of the scenes are done without an apparent pattern or logic. It is marketed as a horror movie, but what little death there is it appears so fake it never goes beyond a cheap thriller. The 'girl with hungry eyes', a vampire that not once behaves like one, is kind of cute but spends the entire movie with too much badly applied makeup and her eyes look more deranged and loonie than hungry. I had to fast forward through some of the parts! Please don't watch this!

The Girl With The Hungry Eyes is not a good movie. But it's definitely an atomspheric one, and atmosphere goes a long way.
Again, this is not a good movie, per se. The acting is obvious throughout, The story is interesting, though, in a The Shining meets Fright Night meets The Red Shoe Diaries way. The filming borders on surreal so what it lacks in skill and technicality it more than makes up for in mood, with some interesting camera work set in and around a dusky, gothic, punk rock Miami. And while Christina Fulton's acting isn't a revelation, her performance in the film is quirky, sensual and haunting.
For the horror heads, there's plenty of gore, sex and dark humor to keep the interest up while the twilit, dark and dreamlike quality of the film makes it a worthy watch. Especially if time and your favorite vice(s) are handy. So, yeah, it's not a good movie, but with an open mind, it's a fun and memorable one.
