- King Arthur: May God grant us the wisdom to discover right, the will to choose it, and the strength to make it endure.

- King Arthur: There's a peace that's only to be found on the other side of war. If that battle must come, I will fight it.
- King Arthur: I have no pride left in me. What I do now, I do for my people and for Camelot. And may they forgive me. This is my last act as your king. Do not be afraid. All things change.
- [Stabs his sword into the ground; Malagant grins in triumph]
- King Arthur: I am Arthur of Camelot, and I command you now... all...
- [Starts to kneel, before raising his sword high]
- King Arthur: To FIGHT! Fight as you never fought before! Never surrender! Never surrender! Fight as you never...
- [Arthur is shot by several crossbow bolts and drops his sword]
- Guinevere: NO!
- King Arthur: Camelot lives!
- Arthur: God uses people like you, Lancelot. Because your heart is open. You hold nothing back. You give all of yourself.
- Lancelot: If you knew me better, you would not say such things.
- Arthur: Oh, hey, I take the good with the bad, together. I can't love people in slices.
- King Arthur: Either what we hold to be right, and good, and true IS right and good and true for all mankind under God, or we're just another robber tribe.
- Lancelot: You have to sudy your opponent: how he moves, so you know what he's gonna do before he does it.
- Mark: I can do that.
- Lancelot: You have to know that one moment in every fight when you win or lose and you have to know how to wait for it.
- Mark: I can do that.
- Lancelot: And you have to not care whether you live or die.
- Lancelot: I dare not kiss so lovely a lady. I have but one heart to lose.
- King Arthur: For the first in my life, I wanted what all wise man say can't last; what can't be promised or made to linger any more than sunlight. I don't want to die without having felt its warmth on my face.
- Arthur: You risked your life for another. There is no greater love.
- King Arthur: This is the heart of Camelot, not these stones, not these timbers, these palaces and towers. Burn them all and Camelot lives on, because it lives in us. Camelot is a belief that we hold in our hearts.
- Malagant: Self-sacrifice is very easy. It's having to sacrifice someone you love that puts your convictions to the test.
- Arthur: [to Lancelot after being betrayed] The law will judge you!
- Arthur: I ask you not to lie to me, even if you think you'll hurt me. Have you given yourself to him?
- Guinevere: No, my lord.
- Arthur: Do you love him?
- Guinevere: Yes.
- Arthur: How did I fail you?
- Guinevere: You've never failed me, my lord.
- Arthur: I saw your face as you kissed him.
- Guinevere: Love has many faces. I look on you differently, but not with less love.
- Guinevere: Do you have secrets to tell me?
- Arthur: No. No secrets. Just a question. Do you want to marry me? You don't have to marry me because your father wanted it. Camelot will protect Lyonesse, whether you marry me or not.
- Guinevere: Thank you. You don't know what it means to me to hear you say that.
- Arthur: Do you want to be released from the engagement?
- Guinevere: No. I want to marry you. Not your crown, not your army. Just you.
- Lancelot: Do you know how to win a sword fight?
- John: How?
- Lancelot: Be the only one with a sword!
- King Arthur: There are laws that enslave men, and laws that set them free.
- Arthur: John will send any message you want.
- Guinevere: My Lord grants my wishes before I speak them.
- Guinevere: [Addressing the messenger] Tell my people I'm come safe into my new country. Tell them you saw my eyes filled with tears of joy.
- Arthur: Already a queen.
- Arthur: When a woman loves two men, she must choose between them.
- Guinevere: I choose you.
- Arthur: Your will chooses me. Your heart chooses him.
- Guinevere: My will is stronger than my heart. Do you think I put so high a price on my feelings? They'll pass. My will holds me to my course through life.
- Arthur: As mine does me. And yet, all I have to do is look at you and everything I ever believed in fades to nothing. All I want is your love.
- Guinevere: You have it.
- Arthur: Do I? Then look on me as you looked on him.
- Guinevere: I gave one moment to Lancelot.
- Arthur: Yes. You're innocent. BUT YOU LOVE HIM!
- [walks off]
- Arthur: Any more of this innocence and I'll go mad!
- Guinevere: If there is any honor in you, promise me never to do that again.
- Lancelot: I don't know about honor. But I promise you, I won't kiss you again till you ask me to.
- Lancelot: I've never believed in anything before. But I do believe in Camelot, and I would serve it best by leaving.
- Guinevere: I only know one way to love my lord, and that is body and mind and soul.
- [last lines]
- Arthur: I feel it now, my love. The sunlight. It's in your eyes.
- Arthur: My truest... my First Knight. Camelot is your home now. You are the future... The future of Camelot. You take care of her for me. Take care of her.
- Arthur: [Reading Malagant's peace treaty] "Armed forces to be given access to all Leonesse."
- [Malagant looks smuggly at him and Guinevere]
- Arthur: "Troops to assist in the enforcement of law... in all Leonesse."
- Arthur: Do you want to sign this?
- Guinevere: I'll never sign it.
- Arthur: There's your answer she says no.
- Guinevere: Forgive me!
- Arthur: What's to forgive? I dreamed the dream of you. It was a sweet dream, while it lasted.
- Malagant: What I offer you is freedom; freedom from Arthur's tyrannical dream; fredom from Arthur's tyrannical law; freedom from Arthur's tyrannical God.
- Malagant: Men don't want brotherhood, they want leadership. HO!
- [Claps his hands and all his men stand at attention at once]
- Malagant: My god makes me strong so that I can live my life!
- Malagant: They say this was once the greatest castle ever built. Now moss grows in the hall where kings once feasted, and peasants cart away the mighty walls stone by stone to make shelters for their pigs. Hah! Such is glory.
- Arthur: Where is it written "Beyond Camelot live lesser people. People too weak to protect themselves. Let them die"?
- Lancelot: Why build a house for the warlords to burn?
- Malagant: Don't make an enemy of me. I mean no harm to Camelot. You know the law we live by.
- King Arthur: And where is it written "Beyond Camelot live lesser people, people too weak to protect themselves, let them die"?
- Malagant: Other people live by other laws, Arthur. Or is the law of Camelot to rule the entire world?
- King Arthur: There are laws that enslave men, and laws that set them free. Either what we hold to be right and good and true is right and good and true for all mankind under God, or we're just another robber tribe.
- Malagant: Your fine words are talking you out of peace and into war.
- King Arthur: There's a peace that's only to be found on the other side of war. If that battle must come, I will fight it.
- Lancelot: You may leave. I'm sure you have better things to do than dress me.
- King Arthur: You have given be back my life itself. The least I could do is give you back your shirt.
- Malagant: The great Arthur and his great dream. No dream lasts forever.
