Ben Chaplin quit the show unexpectedly after one season when he was offered a Hollywood film role on the back of his performance in the series.
In 2018 Ben Chaplin and Neil Stuke (aka the two Matthews) performed together at the Old Vic in Joe Penhall's "Mood Music".
The version used of "Where I Find My Heaven" by Gigolo Aunts wasn't the original single version, but was in fact specially re-recorded, with the group providing the opening, closing and programme identification music.
Neil Stuke originally made the last two in the auditions for the part of Matthew, losing out to Ben Chaplin. When Chaplin quit the show after series one, the part was recast and Stuke was offered the role.
Ben Chaplin received top billing in series one as Matthew. When he departed the show, his role was taken over by Neil Stuke; however, Matthew Cottle (Martin) was promoted to top billing, with Stuke being billed in third place after Samantha Janus (Mandy).
