The Standard Version was released in most of the countries worldwide, it's the most common version. According to the IMDB, the scenes were removed for the release in 1997. The German DVD for instance only contains the Standard Version as well do the US DVDs. The Japanese LD contains the Extended Version. Shout Factory released a BluRay special edition which contains the standard version in full HD and the Extended version with SD inserts along with HD footage from the rest of the transfer. This is also the first time in North America that the Extended version has been available in Widescreen as the previous Uncut Canadian DVD was Full Frame
