Avis à la une
Super performance by govinda it's a super hit movie and very good dialogues. The performance of each actors are commendable. Dialogue delivery and performance of each character has well managed. The first part of the movie and the ending has well managed
The songs are super hit and has huge craze during those days.
Govinda is playing a different character than his usual comedy and what a performance he delivered mind blowing and award winning performance. He has that natural dance moves and god gifted the acting skill which new actors does not carry. We want to see him more and more in movies.

This film by no means is Govinda's best overall film, but it does have one of his most superb performances ever put on film. This is a serious film and has Govinda in a very serious role, there is little to no comedy in this film (which is a good thing). This film proves that if given the chance Govinda can shine in dramatic roles, in my opinion his role in this film is only second to that of his role in Muqabla. I gave this movie a 7.5/10 but because the soundtrack was good as well, the overall score is 8/10 from me. This film deserves better reviews, its a wonder how some critics thought that just because this film wasn't a comedy that it wouldn't be good. They are thoroughly wrong, if you are a fan of Govinda or would just like to see a good film, I recommend this one.
Govinda's dialogue delivery and acting at top notch. If you are a fan of good acting then go for it.
I don't know why critics panned this film and why hardly anyone went to watch it just because it was a serious film starring Govinda. At this period in 1998 he was the comedy king and people felt serious film plus Govinda equals bad movie. So when Naseeb came out the theatres were said to be empty. Naseeb by no means is flawless but it ain't bad even if the story seems outdated.
Govinda basically plays a rich alcoholic businessman who meets Kader Khan and makes him a close friend. One day while dropping a worker (Rahul Roy) off home he sees his wife (Mamta Kulkani) who happens to be his ex-flame. On asking of Kader Khan, Govinda explains everything. How he fell in love, how he went away to make money, how when he returned he witness his love marrying someone else.
Along the way there are some twists and turns and the climax which is not bad. The flaws are the set-up and pictureisation of the movie. It seems outdated and looksmore like a early 1990s movie than a late 90s movie. Also Mamta Kulkani has put on weight that ain't much but is noticeable. She does what is required but lacks the presence of a Karishma or a Kajol. Rahul Roy who disappeared for awhile then came back in the industry has an outdated hairstyle and miss-fires. He talks rather slow almost as if he is trying too hard to get every word right. It would have been better off if a Anil Kapoor or even a Sunny Doel done this role.
For me the film runs on Govinda. Given perhaps the best serious role since Hatya. Govinda real does show he has the talent to shine. There are scenes where just the use of his eyes portray his emotion. In light comedy he is the usual brilliant Govinda. He also has some good lines in the movie like.
The best song is the title song which Govinda portrays beautifully.
Kader Khan is good and shares good chemistry with Govinda. Shakti Kapoor main line is " Rama o Rama", he is OK.
Overall Naseeb is worth watching because of Govinda. He does show his talent in this film, just a shame people never really gave this film or him a chance for that talent to be shown to the public.

Great actor, Great performance, Good storyline and Good music.
Govinda is an actor who has got least chance of acting though he is one of the best Bollywood actors and Naseeb is one of few movies in which he got the chance to show his acting and he proved that he is a great actor. No one can beat him in his style of acting. It's unique, only he can do such type of acting.
We know Govinda's acting talent in comedy films. He continued doing comedy films after the success of Aankhen. I think it is very unfortunate thing that actor like him, who can do all type of acting, has wasted in such one type of movies. Though it is always true that David Dhavan has given some very good comedy films with Govinda and we have really enjoyed it but it is also true that we could not get best out of him during all these years. Naseeb, Swarg, Hatya, Shola Aur Shabnam, Kyon Ki Main Jhooth Nahi Bolta, Khuddar, Dulara, Julm Ki Hukumat, Aag and Andolan are some of movies in which we can see different acting shades of Govinda. Unfortunately we could not see his more films of this kind of different roles during all these years.
I am definitely sure in my opinion that if he would have been given chance by top directors of the industry then we would have enjoyed excellent films and performance from Govinda and still if tailor made good roles like Sanjeev kumar are given to him than he can overshadow any actor and rule the film industry. I hope he will come with a bang if we are lucky.
I think one song of this film is really suits with Govinda's film career and also with us. "naseeb main nahi tha jo hamko mila nahi". We can say Govinda could not get what he deserves in terms of films, awards, big banner, top director's support, public recognition etc and that's why we could not get best out of this complete actor till date.
I really like one dialogue of this film spoken by Govinda. "I am a self made man. Mujhe kisi ki jarurat nahi hai-I don't need anybody."
Kadarkhan is one of the good actors in character role and combination of Govinda and Kadarkhan is always good as best in this movie. Music of the film given by Nadeem-Shravan is excellent and has all kind of tastes as sad song, romantic song, duet song and party song with piano makes it perfect album. I have no right to give less than 10 out of 10 to such an excellent performance. My rating to this movie is 10/10.

- AnecdotesKirti kumar had launched Naseeb in 1995 way before Aunty no 1. Rumor is Govinda completed Aunty no 1 in less than 45 days in mid 1997 as it was a safe proposition since he controlled comedy. Unfortunately kamal hassan's chachi 420 released before it and was a similar subject forcing Aunty no 1 to be delayed. Producers of Naseeb were irked that kirti kumar delayed their film for no reason.
- GaffesAfter Krishna noticed Pooja and drove away, Krishna was driving a Mercedes-Benz W123 and was on the left side while Master was on the right side. Then the song Chanda Sitaare appeared. After the song finished, they appear on a Mercedes-Benz W114 with Krishna driving it on the right side while Master was on the left side.
