Knock at the Cabin star Dave Bautista wants to be a romantic comedy leading man. Bautista started in the world of professional wrestling before transitioning to a successful acting career. He's starred in several major franchise films, taking on the role of Drax in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starring in Rian Johnson's Glass Onion, and even sparring with James Bond in Spectre. Bautista has also worked with some high-profile directors, appearing in Denis Villeneuve's Dune and Blade Runner 2049, Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead, and working under James Gunn and The Russo Brothers through the MCU.
While speaking with Page Six at the premiere of M. Night Shyamalan's Knock at the Cabin, Bautista admitted he wants to branch out, adding romantic comedies to his resume. While he has proven himself a capable actor throughout his career, it would seem as though romantic lead parts have never come his way,...

Universal have released the first trailer for its upcoming franchise reboot Doom: Annihilation, which is based upon the iconic Doom video game series (as was the original movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) and comes from Universal’s Dtv arm, Universal 1440 Entertainment, who were responsible for bringing us the many, many Scorpion King sequels, the Fantastic Death Race Dtv prequel franchise and the recently-reviewed Benchwarmers 2.
This time round the cast includes Amy Manson, Luke Allen-Gale, Dominic Mafham and Nina Bergman and the film is directed by one of my favourite filmmakers, Tony Giglio, who previously directed the superb slasher Timber Falls and the “as good as The Raid and Dredd” (at least Imho) actioner Extraction; and who also penned a couple of the Death Race sequels.

Disney released the first proper trailer for Guy Ritchie's live-action Aladdin remake last night. In it, we got to see Mena Massoud as Aladdin, witnessed the magnificent Agrabah and the Cave of Wonders, and caught a little glimpse of Jafar and Iago, too, along with Aladdin and Jasmine's first meeting.
Which was nice.
Then, there came the big reveal - Will Smith as the Genie. Previously, Smith had appeared in some glossy promotional photos for the forthcoming film looking, well, basically like himself, but dressed as a Genie. However, the actor had warned fans that in the actual film, he would indeed be blue, like Disney's animated version of the character, famously voiced by the late Robin Williams.
It's safe to say that no one was prepared for the sight that awaited them when Smith's Genie lurched up on screen. If you haven't seen it yet,...

Let's get this out of the way up front: this list won't be discussing the 2017 Tom Cruise-led reboot of The Mummy franchise that made decent money but overall wasn't particularly well-received. Instead, we're going to focus on the more beloved sub-series of the long-running "Mummy franchise" that began with the 1999 Brendan Fraser-starring film and continued on through 2008's Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. We'll also touch on the spin-off Scorpion King series that was jump-started by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Back in the late '90s Brendan Fraser was a bonafide star. He was a great fit as the Indiana Jones-esque lead to the delightfully campy Mummy trilogy that he headlined. Blending elements of action, comedy, and horror, the movies seemed to kick off something of a renaissance for old school-style Hollywood adventure films that led to releases like National Treasure, The Da Vinci Code, Night at the Museum,...
