The Pitt Star Noah Wyle Played A Tech Giant In A Movie That's Impossible To Watch Today
Image

We are already a quarter through 2025, and it is clear that television has been quite exemplary so far. One of the year's most buzzed-about series is the Max original, "The Pitt," which stars Noah Wyle as the protagonist, Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinovitch. Wyle is receiving widespread acclaim, with some predicting him to be a major contender at this year's Primetime Emmy Awards, having been nominated five times for his role as John Carter, M.D. in "ER."

Noah Wyle has had quite the prolific career, appearing in numerous TV series and films in both lead and supporting roles. Through his work in television, he has appeared in "Falling Skies," "The Librarians," and "Leverage: Redemption." Some of his notable film appearances include "A Few Good Men," "Donnie Darko," and "W." However, one of his most famous roles was as arguably the...

Why Adult Swim Canceled Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Image
The alternative comedy movement of the 1990s and early 2000s spawned a dazzling host of boundary pushing entertainment that spanned films, television, stand-up, music, and animation. It was hard to keep tabs on all of the original voices emerging during this time, sometimes frustratingly so. For example, just when you thought you'd found a new favorite TV show, the network would abruptly pull the plug due to lousy ratings, even though raves from critics indicated that it had a high-quality series on its hands that might just need a little more time to find its audience (as was the case with "Seinfeld"). This is how we unceremoniously lost classics like "The Ben Stiller Show," "Freaks and Geeks," and "Undeclared" after one season.

While I'd like to think some of these series would've eventually caught on with a large enough viewership to justify their continued network existence, many oddball series were doomed from the outset.

Disney Pixar's Most Upsetting Death Scene Was Almost Way Worse
Image
"Inside Out" is an emotional movie. Disney Pixar's internal gut-check of a film hit audiences of all ages in all the feels, leaving them wet-eyed as they processed through pre-teen Riley Anderson's internal struggles — a journey that is relatable on some level to anyone who calls themselves human. While the movie doesn't leave a dry eye in the room, it turns out that it could have cranked the waterworks up even higher if one death scene had been allowed to play out as originally planned.

We're talking about the tragic ending of one Bing Bong, the fantastical made-up friend from Riley's childhood, voiced by Richard Kind. In the final version of the movie, Bing Bong realizes that his weight (despite being mostly made of cotton candy) is preventing Joy (Amy Poehler) from escaping the gloomy Memory Dump on his rainbow-powered rocket-wagon. He encourages her to try one more time...

Rachel Zegler Pays Homage to Original Snow White Actress and Fans Have 1 Major Complaint
Image
Disney Princesses are universally beloved and every actress who plays the characters knows the scrutiny and pressure the roles come with. Disney is set to release Snow White, a live-action version of the beloved film, starring Rachel Zegler.

The West Side Story star has received criticism over the casting, as she's a Latina and the character is described as fair-skinned. However, with the premiere getting closer, the public's reaction to her version of Snow White is changing, and the early reviews have been encouraging. In a new Instagram post, Zegler has paid homage to the original Snow White actress and the reaction to her post highlighted a major grievance from the film.

View this post on InstagramA post shared by rachel zegler (@rachelzegler)

Some of the film's criticism, all ahead of the Mar. 21 release, was about Zegler's Snow White hairstyle. While the character was famous for her dark-colored locks, Disney's...

Quick Links Disney Princess Animated Movies In Release Order Disney Princess Live-Action Movies In Release Order All Disney Princess Movies In Release Order

Disney princess movies have practically become their own genre in the many decades since their inception. They’re synonymous with Disney as a company, with Cinderella’s Castle featuring in the intro of Disney movies and being recreated in physical form at Disney theme parks. Recent Disney movies like Wreck-It-Ralph have acknowledged the significance of the princesses in Disney’s library by including each of them in a single scene.

Disney’s longstanding relationship with princess movies dates back almost as long as its relationship with Mickey Mouse himself. There have been between 12 and 15 official “Disney Princesses” over the near century of Disney movies, with several unofficial additions to the group. From live action remakes to the latest releases, the princesses range from sweet royal ladies to...

Greta Gerwig Says Barbie Was Only Possible Due to Wonder Woman’s Success
Image
Oscar nominee Greta Gerwig believed that her Barbie movie wouldn’t have been greenlit if it weren't for the success of this blockbuster superhero movie.

During a recent interview with Empire Magazine, Gerwig said how she believes that Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman movie paved the way for the Barbie movie to receive a big-budget production from Warner Bros. "There was absolutely nothing to point to before — we weren't able to use anything as what they call a 'comp,'" she said. "That's how they build budgets, and they assess risk. I know we wouldn't have been able to make this movie had Patty Jenkins not made Wonder Woman. But at the same time, we weren't able to use Wonder Woman as an example, because superheroes are their own category. You can't use Disney Princesses because that's its own category. This didn't really have a thing that we could point to.

The Biggest Disney Princess Complaint Has Already Been Fixed 7 Times (But Everyone Forgets)
Image
Disney has addressed the criticism of its princess movies seven times by creating films where the focus is not solely on finding romantic love. These movies, such as Pocahontas, Mulan, and Brave, have been successful at the box office and have proven that princess stories do not need to revolve around romantic relationships. The debate over whether Disney has a "princess problem" depends on individual perspectives and what each viewer values in a princess character's story.

While Disney’s Princess movies are some of the studio’s most popular and profitable productions, they have been met with a lot of controversy over the years, but the biggest complaint about them has actually already been fixed seven times. Walt Disney Productions’ very first feature animated movie was also the studio’s first Princess movie: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, released in 1937. Snow White was only the beginning of Disney’s...

Shanghai Disney: 10 Things You Need To Know
Shanghai Disney

On June 16th, Disney is set to open the doors to its 6th resort, Shanghai Disneyland.

This lavish new park promises to be a combination of the classic Disneyland experience mixed with ancient Chinese cultures. Authentic spiritual Chinese gardens will provide a delightfully peaceful ambiance alongside the familiar Disney cast and landmarks which here have had an Eastern uplift.

Certainly no expense has been spared. Costing almost £4 billion to build, the new park measures over Three Times larger than the size of nearby Hong Kong Disney and has actually been in the works for over 15 years, with early plans set out for its development in the early 2000s.

Guests will be able to wander a new land set in the world of pirates, enjoy the thrills of roaring down a rapid river, race through the future, experience the magic of dining in an enchanted castle and finish the...

Julian Assange on Raindance jury
WikiLeaks founder to judge films at the 21st Raindance Film Festival; 2013 line-up unveiled.Scroll down for full line-up of films

Julian Assange has joined the jury of the 21st Raindance Film Festival (Sept 25 - Oct 6), a London-based event that celebrates independent film in the UK and around the world.

The appointment is a controversial one. The Australian editor-in-chief and founder of WikiLeaks took refuge in the Ecuadorean embassy in London in June 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning about sexual assault allegations.

It is understood that he fears Sweden would extradite him to the Us, where he believes he is wanted in relation to WikiLeaks’ disclosure of a significant amount of classified Us military and diplomatic documents.

Commenting on Assange’s appointment, Raindance founder Elliot Grove said: “Every year Raindance invites interesting people to join our jury. In the past we have had musicians like Mick Jones, Marky Ramone and [link...

Julie Gerstenblatt: Lessons From 'Downton Abbey': A Jewish American Princess Studies the Dowager Countess
Elizabeth McGovern, Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Brendan Coyle, Joanne Froggatt, Penelope Wilton, Allen Leech, Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Lily James, Fifi Hart, and Oliver Barker in Downton Abbey (2010)
I admire the British for so many reasons. They have a rich history of beheading enemies of the monarchy without ever compromising afternoon tea. They colonized half the globe and yet managed to ensure that no other colony's accent would sound exactly like theirs. In particular, I idolize the Brits for their fictional characters. If shipwrecked on a deserted island and in need of reading materials to last a lifetime, I'd much rather have aristocratic and feisty Emma Woodhouse and her charming Mr. Knightly with me than puritanical Hester Prynne and her pastor, Arthur (yawn) Dimmesdale. Give me Heathcliff and Catherine! Bring me my Bridget Jones! Oh, heck, just give me any book that was later turned into a movie starring Hugh Grant and/or Colin Firth! And, now, thanks to Downton Abbey, make sure that I always have the BBC on my telly. (Yes, even on that deserted island.
