Often cited as one of the worst British sitcoms of all time, along with the likes of "Citizen Kahn", "'Orrible" and "Heil, Honey, I'm Home".
TV critic Victor Lewis-Smith dubbed the show "Britain's revenge" for Mary Poppins (1964), in reference to Felicity Kendal's attempt at an American accent in the show and Dick Van Dyke's famously slated Cockney accent in that film.
