Was originally titled Dangerous Toys but later changed to Demonic Toys after a rock band of the same name (Dangerous Toys) issued a cease and desist claim against the title.
In at least two scenes the movie playing in the background is actually Puppet Master II (1990). 12 years after this movie was released Demonic Toys would meet the figures from Puppet Master in a cross over film for the Sci-Fi Channel. Additionally, actor Jeff Weston appears in both Puppet Master II and Demonic Toys.
Bentley Mitchum's father Christopher Mitchum previously appeared in Le jour de la fin des temps (1979), another movie produced by Charles Band, the producer of Demonic Toys.
