In Goodbye, Mr. Bear (1989), it is revealed that their mom (Danny's wife and Jesse's sister), Pamela, died from injuries sustained in a car accident. Then in Under the Influence (1994) we learn that the collision was caused by a drunk driver. She was going to the store to get the girls ice cream.

Actually, the original name was Adam Cochran, but the name was changed to Jesse before production began. John Stamos later requested his Greek heritage to be implemented into the show by changing his character's last name to Katsopolis.

While trying to establish a music career, Jesse had various day jobs. The first is as an exterminator in his father's business. In It's Not My Job (1988), he enters the advertising business with Joey. Their agency is called JJ Creative Services.

In later seasons, Jesse and Joey start a career as radio hosts with a show called The Rush Hour Renegades (KFLH FM 95.6). Jesse would later inherit and re-open The Smash Club (night club).

Jesse Frederick sings/plays the theme song. He also composed the the theme songs and music for the TV shows Larry et Balki (1986) (1986-93), La vie de famille (1989) (1989-98), Going Places (1990) (1990-91), Notre belle famille (1991) (1991-98), and others.
