Avis à la une
That´s what the cover said, well i can agree to that. I always liked Kiefer Sutherland and his performance is not bad in this one either. So whats this move all about. Brooks (Kiefer Sutherland) is a eccentric rich kid with a foundness for big band music. He is dominated by his older brother Clevland (Peter Spence) that has a foundness for drugs and party. One day Brooks meets Annie, a deaf girl and they develop a special friendship and new understandings.
Well a good drama/love story depends on there charachters very much, and there are some flaws, for a start his brother played by Peter Spence is badly played, i guess its partly the directors fault. The movie has much of this 80´s style in it, but not all bad. I guess if the brother was played by somebody else and not totaly styled, this move could have been more timeless. As it is now, i get irritated everytime i see the guy. Well the movie is still good, i found it to be a very nice down to earth love story about to different types of induviduals, it has a nice pace and nice big band music (and a real crappy 80´s pop band ^^) and Kiefer is putting up a very nice preformance.

This movie has everything a person could want in entertainment-a combination of comedy and a touching love story, the background music of guy lombardo and kenny gardiner is just great, sutherland gives a good account as a shy oddball but what makes this film memorable is the fine performance of the deaf girl played by vanessa vaughan and who could forget her lovely smile,a fine canadian production!
This is my favorite movie. Never again have I seen Kiefer Sutherland play such a character as Brooks. He was open to being a character free of what others think of him or his way of life and found someone just as open. The end result, he finds love. This movie also shows two peoples' first love and that even with difficulties to overcome, dreams can come true.
As the first person on here stated, this movie should by all means be on DVD! This movie can be found on various sites, though I found the movie on Ebay.
Definitely a love story not to be missed.

Crazy Moon is a love story about an introverted shy young man named Brookes played by Peter Sutherland who Meets a deaf girl named Anne played by Vanessa Vaughan. Brookes's brother Cleveland played by Peter Spence is a real loser who gets Brookes in trouble and has problems of his own. It was during one of Cleveland's pranks that Brookes meets Anne, The two brothers emotional problems stem from the fact that their Mother left them when they were at an early age.
The point of the movie is the way that the two young lovers Vanessa and Brookes who are from different backgrounds with their own emotional problems, help each other overcome their individual difficulties.
The film takes place in Montreal, and most of the scenes leave no doubt where it was filmed. There is so much music in the film; one could almost call it a musical. The music of the great big bands of the past adds to the film.
The lead actors Sutherland and especially Vaughan with the excellent direction of Allan Eastman make for a good sensitive love story.

I haven't seen this movie in a few years, but I found it so memorable that I have been searching for it for some time, at least to rent, just so I can see it again.
This film is wildly different from what you'd expect from an "80's romantic comedy", and has a distinctly Canadian flavour. While Hollywood likes to believe that it can portray romance between atypical people, it really is the role of the indie or non-American film to do that justice, and, as a not-so-normal preteen (who, by the bye really loved swing during the age of New Kids) this movie really struck a chord with me. If you are tired of watching 27-year-old super models try to act like unaccepted young people, this movie is for you.
Brooke is odd and insists on being himself, but he is still lovable... That is a good message for anyone to see.
Why, oh why, is this not out on DVD??
