Papa Roach have been forced to drop off the Uproar Festival after Jacoby Shaddix was diagnosed with a nodule on his left vocal cord. He is undergoing surgery to remove it.

Dethklok will release Dethalbum III on October 16 via Williams Street Records. Artwork, tracklisting and additional details can be seen here.

Evergreen Terrace guitarist Josh James has left the band to continue playing full-time with Stick To Your Guns. Despite this, Evergreen Terrace will carry on and are currently writing new material.

Deep Purple co-founder/original keyboardist Jon Lord passed away at the age of 71 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. May he rest in peace.

Jamie's Elsewhere frontman Aaron Pauley has left the band. He is currently playing bass and providing clean vocals for Of Mice & Men, although it is unknown if he is a permanent member. Read statements from the band and Pauley here.

Between the Buried and Me will release a new album entitled The Parallax II: Future Sequence on October 9 via Metal Blade Records. The artwork can be seen here.

Versailles Records will release No More Tears: A Millennium Tribute To Ozzy Osbourne on June 5. The tribute album features appearances from past and current members of bands such as Black Sabbath, Motley Crue, Dokken, Megadeth, Kiss, Alice Cooper, Spinal Tap and more.

In dumb news of the week: Limp Bizkit's new album will be titled Stampede of the Disco Elephants.
