Basically, Wanda was trying to screw over her accomplices & keep the diamonds for herself. After the robbery, the diamonds are hidden in the safe in the small garage under the train line. George sneaks back inside, takes the loot, and puts it in the safe deposit box at the airport. Otto and Wanda call the police and George is arrested. When she and Otto go back to the safe, Wanda stands behind Otto, ready to knock him out with her mini club. When she sees the loot is gone, she realizes she'll need Otto to find it, so she refrains from knocking him out. She then plays up to George's attorney, Archie, hoping he'll be able to find out from George where the loot was hidden. In the end she falls in love with Archie and leaves with him rather than alone.
