The main character of "Pelnia" (Fullness), Wojtek (Tomasz Zaliwski), has abandoned his city, his wife, and his job and moved to a small village. His wife and friends do not understand his point of view. But Wojtek feels the need to reevaluate, reflect, and take stock of his life so far. We can say that Wojtek is an "alter ego" of the film director, Andrzej Kondratiuk, who himself (with his wife, Iga Cembrzynska) spent a great deal of time in a small village of Gzowo. So "Fullness" has a real charm and sincerity of emotions, even if some dialogues and characters seem a bit oversimplified. Watching the film, I felt some nostalgia too, because I grew up in a similar village, and my teenage years were in the 1970s. Even if I have different views and like the bustling, dynamic, and multicultural atmosphere of some big cities like New York, Los Angeles, or London, I respect the point of view of Andrzej Kondratiuk, and "Fullness" manages to show that we can also enjoy small and simple things in our lives. I also enjoyed the beautiful camera work and good performances of Tomasz Zaliwski, Iga Cembrzynska, Janusz Gajos and Tadeusz Fijewski. Janusz Gajos in "Fullness" seems to be recovering from the syndrome of a young and famous TV star, and this talented and versatile actor is already on his way to becoming one of the icons of Polish cinema. It was the last film role of Tadeusz Fijewski.
