      Even sillier than Flesh Gordon!

Two buglike casanovas from outer space visit our planet to spread some good lovin' among the earthly females in this dated and infantile but fun 70's Sci-Fi softcore epic. The budget is even lower than "Flesh Gordon" (1972) but Dyanne "Ilsa" Thorne makes an appearance as an unsatisfied (!) hooker who gets some close encounters of the X-rated kind. The director made "Blackenstein" the same year! "Wham Bam.." could seriously damage your IQ but who cares! Another wacky bomb from Something Weird Video's Vaults of vintage sleaze.

Totally moronic sci fi sleaze. Strangely watchable...

This is one of those movies that defies description. There's absolutely no way any words of mine can adequately convey just how stupid, cheap and cheesy this ultra-low budget 70s sci fi softcore silliness is, so I won't even begin to try. All I can say is that if you have a taste for trash ala Ed Wood, Russ Meyer, Jack Hill, or even (the absolutely worthless) Ted V. Mikels, then you NEED to see 'Wham Bam Thank You Spaceman' sometime in your life.

Two alien doofus studs are sent to Earth to save their race by bedding down as many human women as they can. That's it for the plot. 'Blackenstein' director William A. Levey looks like he had a budget of $100 to work worth. The aliens spy on "hot" babes getting it on, then by electronic jiggery pokery beam them up to their spaceship where they give them some good extraterrestrial loving via their unusual equipment. This is repeated with variations over and over, interspersed with some "humour" as comic relief. Cult fans will probably want to track this one down as it includes Dyanne Thorne ('Ilsa, She Wolf Of The S.S.) and Haji ('Faster Pussycat!) in the cast, but I wouldn't get your hopes up, it isn't erotic OR amusing. Even so, it is impossible to tear your eyes from the screen as long as this unbelievably moronic movie is running. Afterwards you will shake your head and exclaim "How did this crap ever get made?!"

      Now available on DVD!

William A Levey ("herr Director!") discovered Patrick Swayze AND Deborah Winger...

William was Pal's with James Dean; they were next door neighbors when Bill was just a kid. Bill was the star in the first black and white TV show about a boy and his dog. (The dog got 'Co-Star' status.)

When Dean died, Elvis called Bill to hang out with him in Bel Aire; Elvis was a huge fan of both Dean and Tinsletown. Bill knows both - and more... "much More!"

He made the Olympic gymnastic team. He quit because he didn't want to ditch fast cars AND beautiful women in lieu of training for several years for a 'hunk of metal' (his words) - (although his medal winning coach thought Bill was certain to 'medal' himself).

He discovered Patrick Swayze AND Deborah Winger; he cast them in their first professional roles. All 12 of his international films made money; they came in under budget (mostly), and always "on Time!"

Bill won 3 Emmy's for editing. He's equally adept in music, dialog, and film. Orson Welles called William "the FilmDoctor!" when Bill saved one of Orson's film OVERNIGHT!

He served his Country (with distinction and top Secret clearance) in the Armed Forces.

He loves his Country, to this very day! His story is HisStory indeed; a tale best savored by YOU good people reading this review, right now! It's a clue as to 'setting the record straight', by giving 'credit where credit is due'!

It belongs to Teddy, "billy TheKiddo!", G-d, Himself (and "nobody Special!" - 'CareGiver Terra VERITAS, almost), that's who!

Tallie Cochrane said producers brought a bunch of liquor to the set and she and the other girls were drunk though most of the filming.

When the spacemen are ready to land, the globe stops and zooms into the center of South America - the interior of Brazil. When they get out of their spaceship, they are in Hollywood.
