One of the best Swedish comedies

Every Swedish man who has done their military service loves this movie. It is a humouristic story about a a couple of guys being called back to the military to do their second time. Even if this movie is old, the Swedish military still is pretty much the same and all the jokes can easily be related to my and probably everybody else military service. Go and rent it now!

The best swedish movie ever made!

Repmånad is by far the best swedish movie ever made. Janne "Loffe" Carlsson, probably the best swedish character actor, makes an excellent performance as "Lövgren". This movie contains a lot of "buskis", which is a big plus. If you haven't seen it, you should be ashamed of yourself!

Alongside Göta Kanal a swedish masterpiece.

This is alongside Göta Kanal one of the best movies that this country produced. There has not been any similar films in the late eighties or in the nineties. This is sad since theese two movies are almost the only humouresque films of quality that has been produced since.

superb movie

I love this movie. I think it's the best Swedish movie ever. What does that say about Swedish movies? Not too much actually.

If you appreciate the "Sällskapresan" movies you will definitely enjoy this film. Note that I am mainly talking to people living in Sweden. Not only is the film hard to obtain in other countries, but I don't think that foreigners will appreciate the jokes. (But if you like "Stripes" you probably will enjoy it!) Actually, there aren't that many jokes. The film itself is so humorous and sarcastic, and the characters are so happy and down to earth.

I love Lasse Åberg's image in these movies. You simply CAN'T dislike the man. "Too bad, he was a nice guy. But the fight for peace and freedom must go on!"

So take a chance. Rent "Repmånad" and join Löwgren, Gurkan, Tallroth, Jonsson and the other lovely guys as they make the lives of Commandant Larsson and Captain Nils "Beethoven" Jönsson miserable.

One good reason to watch this movie: You will know at least three new names for liquor! And always remember: There are two T:s in Tvetaberg. Take care

Anecdotes
The movie takes place around a group of men returning to the Army for a refresher training month, in Sweden called "Repmånad". This type of training was normal for countries with conscription armies. Sweden reformed its army into a regular army in the mid 2000's and has not had a refresher training month since the late 1990's.

Gaffes
On the DVD release the opening credits are remade and contain several mistakes such as "Regissör" (the Swedish word for director) being misspelled as "Regisör", and "Tore Tallroth" being misspelled as "Tove Tallroth". The Blu-ray release features the original credits without any of these errors.
