Avis à la une
This classic has an all star cast. The film flows with intelligent comedic brilliance highlighting everyday situational life in Mexico City. D. F. Every scene contains some lasting evidence of nostalgic life giving rise to times never to return. Things have not gotten better, only worsend. All that is left are the memories of times when actors and people like Cantinflas made this period more palatible and entertaining. It is one of his better films and testaments of what an honest cop looks like and should be. His dialogue at the end of the film summarizes his lasting impression left to us that only Cantinflas could say.
It's "El Patrullero 777" not lowercase el patrullero 777, please fix. I will go ahead and delete this review, also please advice where to submit this correction in the future. Thanks.
Great movie btw.
Great movie btw.
In this movie Mario Moreno plays police officer 777. The movie is about his battle with everyday crime and a group of thugs. The funniest parts are when he is undercover. Seeing him dressed up as different people makes having the film worth it. Although the film is quite funny it is not one of his best. The DVD is not done well in my opinion. The audio is horrible. You can still hear everything but it is not as clear as it should be. The picture is okay but they could have done a better job focusing it. There are no special features and no subtitles. The movie plays on its own;in other words you don't have to push play. Hopefully people will start respecting cantinflas classics and make better DVDs.
An amusing and fun Cantinflas movie , this time as a good-natured patrolman in his everyday fights against crime and corruption, dealing with his conflicts , feats and misdventures . As we watch how he gets into problem , distresses, befriends a sick prostitute , and goes undercover , discussing with his chiefs at the Police Department , as well as resolving troubles, doing whatever things to get his purports and at the end becomes involved in a crossfire and detaining delinquents .
Cantinflas' agreeable show made in his late period , in fact , after El Patrullero 777 he made his last one , El Barrendero. Here the fast-talking Cantinflas is a brave officer in law who helps prostitutes exploited by their panderers , later his adventures , and hard feats , the policeman Cantinflas himself is decorated , at last. Highlights of the movie are the sympathetic dances proceeded by Cantinflas at a ball room as well as the final shooutout when he contends some crooks.
Cantinflas career was very long from the Forties to Eighties. Along his fruitful career Cantinflas played good-looking and good-tempered people , mostly low-classes roles . Equally , he performed motley characters with all kinds of jobs , as he was a street cleaner, a teacher , a doctor, an actor, an Ambassador , a teacher , a priest , a porter, an extra , an elevador operator , a scientist, a clown, fireman , a Photographer , a student, cowboy , Bellboy , magician , among others . These charecters were interpreted by Cantinflas in: El Bombero Atómico, El Profe , El Padrecito , El Extra , Sube Y Baja , El Supersabio, El Mago, El Señor Doctor, Gran Hotel, Señor Fotógrafo, El Analfabeto, Por Mis Pistolas , El Circo, Conserje Para Todo, Su Excelencia , El Barrendero . Adding the succesful Hollywood appearing : Pepe , Around the World in 80 days . The motion picture was professionally directed by Miguel Maria Delgado , Cantinflas's regular, favorite filmmaker , and following his usual style, as he had knowledge enough of cinema to get a lot of entertainment and amusement . In fact, it is a remake to first film directed by Miguel Maria Delgado : El Gendarme Desconocido 1941 .
