- Paul Groves: Funny.
- Max: Yeah, in a way. But you play your personal games.
- Paul Groves: All right, I know. Everybody knows. But nobody lives that way.
- Max: Is that your defense, man?
- Paul Groves: Yes. I mean, no. I'm guilty. I'm guilty.
- Max: Right! But don't wallow, because it's fake and disgusting!
- Paul Groves: [feeling the effects of the LSD] I don't believe it. I mean, is this... is this really it? Is it really happening there? Look at those crosses on the mount!
- John: [pointing outward] See the real tall one there? That's Channel 13.
- Paul Groves: Wow!
- Max: It was a heavy trip. I slept for 36 hours, man. Blind. That was my last trip on Roybal, I'll tell you that.
- Max: Hey, what's this scene about the cops, huh?
- Paul Groves: I think they're after me.
- Max: [starts to look worried] "You think they're after you." Like, I got a whole house full of pot, man.

- Glenn: Did you find what you were looking for? The insight?
- Paul Groves: Yeah, I think I... like, I *love* you.
- Glenn: And everybody else?
- Paul Groves: Yeah, and everybody else.
- Glenn: It's easy now. Wait 'till tomorrow.
- Paul Groves: Yeah, well... I'll think about it tomorrow.
