This motion picture was amusingly directed by prolific filmmaker José Maria Forqué and shot in comical style and with great flair-play . It deals with Pepe (José Luis López Vázquez) who is a simple and lower-class worker of town hall and along with Faustino (Juanjo Menendez) are cleaning the dirty streets when at a litter bin he finds a million pesetas . Pepe's spouse (Julia Gutierrez Caba) convinces him to return but he renounces to it , then things go wrong.
This is an enjoyable , endearing Spanish comedy with amusement , emotion , laughs and a little bit of drama . The film pays tribute to the simple people , modest men who work hardly and they are very good guys , such as the likable street sweepers , excellently played by Juanjo Menéndez , Valentín Tornos and Jose Sacristán . Very good acting by the great José Luis López Vázquez as a hard-working labourer of the municipal who found a big amount of money in a trash can . Sensational Julia Gutiérrez as his sensitive wife who attempts to make him give up the authorities the valuable cash . Support cast is frankly extraordinary , formed by a Spanish secondary star-studded , such as : recently deceased José Sazatornil ¨Saza¨ , José Orjas , Guillermo Marin , Carlos Lemos , Rafaela Aparicio , Lina Canalejas , Luis Barbero , Claudia Gravi , Emilio Laguna , Erasmo Pascual , and many others . Special mention for the agreeable grandparents magnificently played by Rafael L. Somoza and Aurora Redondo .
