- Elegant Mess: [Rocky and Mugsy have fallen into the machine and Elegant Mess is at the controls] By the way I use this machine, you would think that I knew something about it!
- Mugsy: [as he and Rocky are seen spinning around in a mixer in the Acme Cereal Company's processing machine] Gee, this is fun, Rocky, just like in the amusement park.
- Rocky: Shaddap.
- Rocky: [after shooting up the place] That dame's not a dame!
- Rocky: [sees his partners standing] Quick, don't just stand here, gaping. Go get 'im!
- [the men fell forward like dominos, dead]
- Mugsy: Gee, Rocky, You made a boo-boo...
- Elegant Mess: [entering Rocky's hideout in a detective suit] Yeah, and I'm bookin' ya for murder.
- Rocky: Oh yeah?
- [He levels a gun at Bugs]
- Rocky: Well, I'M the bookie around here, and I'LL do the bookin'.
- Elegant Mess: [sticks a whole carrot at Rocky and Mugsy] Stick 'em up! You're under arrest.
- Rocky: Look, Mugsy. He's gonna shoot us with a carrot.
- [Rocky laughs but then the carrot opens its hatch and blasts both Rocky and Mugsy; Rocky stops laughing]
- [last lines]
- Narrator: On October 28, Agent Mess slapped the handcuffs on Rocky and Mugsy and brought them to justice. They were sentenced to 20 years at hard labor, which was a little tough on Agent Mess, who was never able to find the keys. He was handcuffed.
- [a man runs into a phone booth to avoid gangsters]
- Man: [talking on the phone] Operator! Operator! Quick, get me the police.
- Telephone Operator: Just a moment, please.
- [suddenly, machine guns riddle the middle of the booth with bullets, splitting the booth and the man in half, leaving the upper half hanging in mid-air]
- Telephone Operator: Sorry, you've been disconnected.
- Narrator: The Roaring 20's - the Jazz Age with the sound of strumming banjos and wailing saxes, the era of short bobs and long beads, big bands and tiny dancefloors, and violence.
- [two cars shooting at about every direction and at each other; stopping when the traffic signal is red and resumes when it's green]
- Narrator: Gangs wage ruthless wars in order to control the underworld.
- Rocky: [talking to the disguised Bugs] You know, you're a lucky broad. I like you.
- [gets kicked by Bugs]
- Rocky: Oof! Stop the music.
- [gets kicked again]
- Rocky: Oof! Stop... stop the music!
- [gets kicked again, getting scrunched into his hat and dropping his pistols]
- Rocky: Oof! STOP. THE. MU-SIC!
- Mugsy: Uh, Rocky, we want to present to you a token of our esteem.
- Elegant Mess: [pops out of the top of the hollowed-out cake; dressed as a woman, with jazz music playing] Hiya, suckers!
- Rocky: Who's the broad?
- Mugsy: She's some looker, eh, Rocky?
- [accidentally knocks Rocky and his chair over]
- Mugsy: Duh... what happened, Rocky?
- Rocky: [socks Mugsy to the chin] You bonehead!
- [in a dark corridor of the building]
- Rocky: Turn on the light, Mugsy.
- [lights turned on with a lightswitch by Mugsy, showing Bugs right behind Rocky with a gun]
- Rocky: Turn it off! Quick!
- [Bugs shoots Rocky]
- Rocky: [lights out] You lunkhead! Now you get over here and -I'll- turn on the light, then let him have it.
- Mugsy: Uh, okay, Rocky.
- [shuffling feet and Rocky turns on the light switch; Mugsy fires his gun, but it was nothing but air; Bugs was at the other side of the room, shooting Rocky and the lights went out again]
