Avis à la une
At the last second, Bugs gets a telegram from "Fearless" saying a storm has delayed him. He relays that to the crowd but Yosemite demands to see the diving act, so he forces Bugs to do it! He follows the rabbit all the way up the steps to the platform, threatening to shot him.
The rest of the animated short is what happens afterward as things backfire on Sam. How many times can they play this one joke (Sam, not Bugs, taking the plunge) and still make it funny? The answer: EVERY time!
A very clever and funny cartoon.
In conclusion, if you love Looney Tunes or Bugs Bunny, I do highly recommend this cartoon. 10/10 Bethany Cox
I said it before and I'll say it again: the people who created the classic Looney Tunes cartoons were real geniuses.

- AnecdotesThe scene where Yosemite Sam is yelling "Open the door! Open the door!" then, he says to the audience "You'll notice I didn't say Richard?" is a reference to the song "Open the Door, Richard" written by Dusty Fletcher and first performed by Louis Jordan.
- GaffesIn one scene the diving board is level with the platform before Bugs spins the diving board 180 degrees. After spinning 180 degrees, the diving board is then above the platform with Bugs hiding underneath the diving board.

Bugs: Hey, just a minute, you! Dem's fightin' woids!
Yosemite Sam: Yeah, dem's fightin' words!
Bugs: I dash ya to step across dis line.
[traces line along edge of diving board]
Yosemite Sam: I'm a-stepping.
[Sam steps across line and falls off board; rises up]
Yosemite Sam: I hate you.
[falls back down]
- Versions alternativesVersion shown on TV is missing a couple of extra gags that Bugs pulls on Sam while on the diving board, including Sam thinking Bugs is under the board while he really is, Bugs setting up a trick door at the edge of the board, and Bugs pretending to be an Indian telling Sam which way he went (which was probably the main cause for the overall gags to be cut). The full uncut version is in the new Looney Tunes "Golden Collection" DVD set.
