The ending of Yosemite Sam's line "Yeah, Yosemite Sam, the roughest, toughest, he-man stuffest hombre has ever crossed the Rio Grande...and I don't mean Mahatma Gandhi!" was re-recorded as "...and I ain't no mamby-pamby!" in some prints due to Gandhi's assassination between the cartoon's production and its release.
The title is a spoof on Jack Benny's recurring radio sketch called "Buck Benny Rides Again". It was later expanded into a film, Buck Benny Rides Again (1940).
