It's okay.

"The Curious Puppy" is a one-off cartoon from Looney Tunes. In other words, it's a cartoon with characters who appear here and never again, as opposed to their series stars like Porky Pig or Daffy Duck.

The story is very simple....a puppy wanders into an amusement park that has been closed for the season. A guard dog on the property spends the cartoon chasing the puppy. That's really all there is to this one.

I give this on a generous 6 only because the animation quality is good. Otherwise it's passable entertainment and nothing more.

Anecdotes
A tamale and enchilada stand is shown at the fun pier, which might be a nod to the short's Hollywood production location. Such treats were sold in Southern California (and a few other places) but had not reached nationwide popularity yet. Some of the oldest Mexican cuisine establishments in Los Angeles had a steady clientele of entertainment industry folks.

Gaffes
When the dogs are in the house of mirrors, the watch dog walks past 9 mirrors and sees itself. With the tenth, it sees the puppy. But with the tenth mirror, right before the puppy appears, there is one frame with the watch dog, at least its very forward edge. Then with the next frame the watch dog is gone and is immediately replaced with the puppy.
