K.T. Stevens (real name: Gloria Wood) is the daughter of the film's producer, Sam Wood.

Despite the "introducing" credit, K.T. Stevens had been in several films before as a child. In fact, her first film was as a two year old in her father Sam Wood's silent film, Peck's Bad Boy (1920). She changed her name to distance herself from her famous father.

Mady Christians (who played Elsa Schulz) was an Austrian-born German actress who fled Nazi Germany in the 1930s to become an actress in the United States. Sadly, like Griselle in the movie, Christians spoke out against McCarthyism in 1950, and was blacklisted. She blatantly compared the censorship of McCarthyism to that of Nazis in Germany during the 1930s. She died in 1951 of a cerebral hemorrhage which was partially caused by the stress of the investigation and being blacklisted.

K.T. Stevens receives an "introducing" credit.

It was said that the film was banned in Germany, but that does not mean that it was never shown. Adolf Hitler liked American movies and watched them in private, and Joseph Goebbels, the Minister of Propaganda, probably watched it to get ideas for his propaganda films.
