Hoot Gibson is suffering from overwork at college, except when he's hosting parties at the local roadhouse, leading the cops on high-speed chases, and punching them out. His father calls in a doctor to examine him. He quickly diagnoses Hoot as a liar and recommends exercise.: not in his father's steel foundry, but in a wild west show. There he meets trick rider, pistot shot, and generally disagreeable Eugenia Gilbert. He tells her they're engaged, gives her a pair of boxing gloves as a birthday gift, and generally infuriates her.

This was Miss Gilbert's last movie. She later claimed that she never got the chance to act, just to serve as a clothes horse. She gets a chance to do so here, and generally stands up to Hoot's rough-and-ready humor. It's not a particularly good story, but it looks like Hoot was having fun with it, and his fans probably did too.
