The Rabbit On The Flying Trapeze

In this Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoon. Oswald and Ortensia go to the circus, where Pete is the barker/ringmaster, and abducts the girl.

Rollin Hamilton and Rudolf Ising are credited with the direction of this cartoon. It was probably the only time during this period when Walt Disney was not credited as the director; not that the director of the cartoon serves the same function as a live-action movie. Still, it was a concession to his staff, one he would regret when all but Ub Iwerks and Carl Stalling abandoned him shortly.

Although it looks pretty much like the sort of cartoon that Terry was turning out in the Aesop's Fables series at this time, it has a lot more gags.
