Well well...can I have atleast 5 sequels of this movie 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I have rarely seen a gem like this.

It's an understatement to say I liked this movie. I think such movies should be made tax free for the wonderful message. I have many Muslim friends and yet I learnt so much about Islam and in a wonderful plot.

Siddique from start to finish and boy did he embrace this role. All other characters support him well. It's suprising how many known actors of Malayalam industry actually worked in this 😊 Quite surprised with many faces who come for small roles. No wonder because it is a story worth telling.

I have no words for the plot and this wonderful movie. I just want to say PLEASE WATCH IT. PLEASE 🙏🙏🙏

A good melodramatic movie in the age of realistic movies.there is no humor but movie was never boring. good acting by all characters.Good message.I would call sidhique as the hero of this film.A movie after a long time Islamic traditions and values..

I was expecting a lot.. mostly when i saw the saikumar and that IS issue, i thought the movie wilk be going to tell abt that.. but later changed in different way. Shows how a familyman lives for his family. Siddique has done a perfect job, indrans,saikumar, everyone done perfect.. movie conveys a message that money is nothing if u keep, help others.. movie was little bit lagging.. there were some scenes which was not needed.. ome time watchable.. and a true story too

It's surprising when you know that the movie didn't have much of a story & you kindof knew where it was going the whole time, and yet sat through it just because of the performances.

Even though well presented (good production values), there is a sense of hollowness throughout the movie, maybe because it was predictable to the T. The actors were good, be it Dileep, Indrans, or others. Props should also be given to the director for trying to explore religions, values and coming up with some good moments.

Other than that, things seem staged and convenient and artificial at times. I bought into the movie's premise just because of Siddique's acting. Sometimes I feel that other than the big M's, these character actors (Siddique, Sai Kumar, Vijayaraghavan, and many others) can hold together weak scenes just with their great performances.. And Siddique does it beautifully to the extent that I'd call him the main hero in the movie, and props to Dileep for taking this up, even though he doesn't get introduced up until the last one hour of a 2 hour 9 minute movie.

Overall, this movie, even though isn't having much of an entertainment value, can be seen just for the performances.

Siddique shines in this emotionally captivating film that celebrates altruism, where he plays a man retired from all responsibilities and who is now getting ready to take the Haj pilgrimage alone. The intensity of the writing, especially in the first half, where we, the viewers, are given a bird's eye view of how and what this central character thinks is what makes Subharathri (Good Night) a pleasant and soothing art to consume. I can't contain the merriment I felt when I was watching it with my family. It's a startling film, one that sneaks up on you and refuses to budge. Writer-director Vyasan KP is surely a guy we should watch out for for this drama couldn't have been better. But if I could mention why I zapped four stars, it has to be due to the poor marriage between the halves, one where Dileep's character enters like a sore thumb. TN.
