As an avid Alien fan and long-time consumer of cartoons and comics, I was thrilled to watch this animated Alien series about Ripley's daughter, Amanda, and her search to uncover what happened to her mother. Along the way, Amanda encounters xenomorphs firsthand and embarks on a dynamic, high-energy adventure. The story is set after the events of the original 1979 Alien film and before Ripley is found drifting in space in the 1986 sequel Aliens.

The series is an adaptation of the 2014 video game of the same name, which is evident throughout many of the episodes. At times, it feels almost like a first-person shooter, with visuals that often resemble video game graphics. Other times, however, it delivers neat and polished visuals, closer to a high-quality animated film. Overall, the inconsistency in animation quality was a major drawback for me. On the positive side, though, the story moves quickly, and each episode ends sooner than you'd like-always leaving you wanting more.

Just to clarify, the actual Alien Isolation game is a horror masterpiece. Easily a 8-10/10 game.

Besides the ACTUAL animation used for when Ripley is floating in space, this 'series' is literally just either reused cutscenes from the game, or in-game shots with a badly mocapped Amanda Ripley green-screened into them. The lip-syncing is also atrocious. The in-game character lip syncing is bad enough but when mocap Amanda talks, its almost a joke.

Coming from a massive Alien fan, this is a total waste of time, and I expected far more from an Alien Isolation series. The two stars go to the actual original animations of Ripley in space which were actually a decent watch. Otherwise, this series' existence is pointless. And to further salt the wound, it was hosted by IGN on Youtube, the same company that gave the original game a 5/10.

I truly loved the Alien Isolation game and I play it at least one time a year. Its like being a part of a movie. Even though I have played it so many times, this game still gets my heart beating and my nerves hurting.

This has allot of cut scenes from the game and some of the added animation could use a better budget. But its just that, no budget. So with that in mind, it was truly great! If you have played the game and loved it, this is awesome to watch from the start to the finish. its only 7, 10 min episodes and its nearly a masterpiece! It gives me hope for Alien Isolation 2!

Pay no attention to the nay Sayers that think this should be a blockbuster series. It was very very well done! Worth the watch and great job!

If you haven't played Alien Isolation, this might interest you -for a bit. At least until you see the bad animation and non-existent lip syncing from the characters, except for the aliens. One character says a whole sentence of dialogue, and her mouth never closes.

You'd get more from just playing the actual game. I'd pass on this.

I think this was an earnest attempt to try and get some buzz for a sequel and to advance the story of Amanda Ripley. It was a nice new way to look at the story, especially if you hadn't played the game. There are several minutes of new storyline added which hadn't appeared in the game.

Takes place 15 years after the events of Alien (1979).

Some rendering issues when it comes to facial animation and natural body movements. Other than that everything seems decently conceived. Most of 'em were pov cut scenes from the game.

Amanda Ripley deserves a live-action treatment and it's long overdue.

If you've played the game (Alien: Isolation), then this will be a déjà-vu for you, but it's a good to see it as a short mini-series. Yet, I don't get the point of splitting it into 7 10-minutes like episodes.

What a waste of my time, and I Iove the Alien universe.

This is one of my favorite games and honestly, It was great to revisit this story from a new angle. Sure It seems to be a shoestring budget, and the quality of some animation suffer from that, but the new additions are great ! The final episode is just awesome, can't wait to see what comes next! Amanda is such a strong character.

This is a particular series... I love the soundtrack and the tipical subject drom the forst movie ALIEN (1979)...
