Hero Ink

I just ran across this show today. It's a great mixture of heroic stories, tears, laughter, and ink. I love that it's owned and operated by first responders. They can truely understand what "customers" have been through.

This show is based on the lives of the various tattoo artists who are/were Police Officers, Firefighters, Paramedics, EMTs, First Responder's and Military members who are doing tattoos on others in their same profession as various Responder's. There will be stories about the Responder's explaining why they're getting a specific tattoo and the call/incident that drove them to get inked.

Some noteable Responder's who are getting inked is Sergeant Sean "Stix" Larkin of the Tulsa (Oklahoma) Police Department's Gang Unit who's a regular on A&E's LivePD, LivePD Police Cam and the new (April 2019) Live + Rescue. Any regular watcher will know that Sgt. Larkin has multiple tattoos and has openly discussed them. This series goes deeper into why those in Law Enforcement, the Fire Department, EMS provider's and Military members get the tattoos they do.

A lot of people in my family have contributed as first responders. This has become much watch tv for all of us.

I'm a former LEO and I love seeing the tats, hearing the stories and watching the interaction between BK and his team. Even the civilians in my house look forward to watching it!
