After discovering the pentagram-like symbol in the cave for the first time, Sarah puts her fingers in the blood running through the symbol, with blood covering her fingers when she takes them out. Seconds later, there is no trace of the blood anymore and her fingers are completely clean again.
After the flashback, Sheriff Goode encounters Josh on the road near Deena. Goode attempts to get Josh to come with him by claiming that Deena is suffering from a mental illness. They then steal his cruiser, and the dispatcher claims there is a "5150 in possession" of the car. 5150 refers to the California law that allows people to be involuntarily committed for mental illness. It would not be used in Ohio, where this film is set. Sec. 5122.10, aka "Pink Slip," is the analogous code in Ohio.
Josh makes several mentions of the Konami code throughout the series. Before facing the Shadyside Killers, he makes reference to several retro games including Super Contra, Castlevania, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. None of these titles use the Konami Code. The original Contra famously uses the Konami code for 30 lives, but Super Contra (the sequel) did not.
