Sublimely animated (NSFW) shorts... each with it's own unique and beautiful (& mature) story. Think game cinematic-Animatrix saga with hyper-realistic futurism/multi-dimensional concepts. Absolutely GORGEOUS. I enjoyed each immensely, and cannot wait to see more, hopefully becoming a mainstream format.
Season one was incredible. A little something for anyone. Great variety and vision in small samples. Like short stories. It was 18 episodes!
Season two. Even shorter episodes. Only a few of interest and only 8 episodes with some as shot as 7 minutes.
You can always count on Netflix for a bait and switch. Waited over a year for less than an hour of content.

Perhaps one of the most genuine and interesting projects on all of Netflix.
An animated anthology whose strength lies in the number of stories, its variety, its animation, and, above all, its themes.
About love, death, robots, or all of them together, we can witness an endless number of stories and plots for all tastes.
From absurdities like Hitler's alternate futures (one of my favorites) to the satire of the three robots in a world without humans.
But it's not just in its criticism that this series stands out: it excels in experimental animation like "Good Hunting," which is raw and excellent. But it also shines when it comes to Lovecraftian creatures, or in philosophical approaches like "Zima Blue." In 2024, "Secret Level" was released on Amazon Prime, attempting to emulate this success but failing to reach these levels.
In any case, this isn't a perfect series, and therefore has a few episodes that are either very boring or just average/bad. That's why the series' score should be based on the sum of all its episodes.
Update after Season 4 05/17/2025 I think the series has seen a significant drop this season.
Although we have 10 episodes that are quite varied in terms of theme and animation, I feel like the essence of the product isn't there.
The vast majority of the episodes are simply bad.
They aren't funny, they aren't moving, they don't leave you thinking. I think episodes 5 and 8, in particular, are the only ones that kept me entertained.
It's very difficult to maintain the impact a series has when it surprises, as happened in Seasons 1 and 2. By the third season, we had already seen a drop in quality, which has now become more evident. Clearly, Netflix will have to decide what direction it wants the series to take, perhaps making a sequel to a highly rated episode like "The Three Robots," or simply looking for other projects.

This show is a masterpiece. Every episode feels like a complete movie. I was surprised that I was able to care for the characters after such a short time. Most shows take 2 or 3 hours to be able to establish that kind of a rapport. The pacing is great, the topics explored are interesting and some of the plot twists are amazing. One of the episodes managed to flip my understanding of all the events completely on its head just in the last few seconds when the truth was finally revealed.
