Avis à la une
Good movie for the season, without a Christmas theme. Typical story for this sort of movie. Acting is adequate, without any standouts and the movie moves along at a good pace. Nice, overall, feel good movie for the genre.
You would think she would have known someone else had paid for her college tuition when she didn't get the bill in the first place.
First i m going to say that i really liked this movie!
Both Hutchison and Myers had chemistry slowly developed (realistic), their acting was very good and without exaggerations! But.... i would like more "love scenes" between Liam and Jilian for example a kiss or two before the end of the movie (after the dinner 44' or after the fishing as he brings her home 58'). Also.... the kiss in the end (bearly touching lips) was "frising cold". If you want the love story to capture the audience, the kiss should be more powerfull and realistic!
The storyline, the dialogues, the scenery, fotography and music of this movie were great!
It's a movie worth seeing!
I admitt, I like it. I like it for Charlene Tilton ( indeed , Dallas nostalgia has not small contribution, but in this case, she offers a real pleasant job as aunt Marjorie ). I like it for the clash between two very different worlds, a serious young career lady and her extendet and some eccentric family, for house, humor,Anna Hutchison and Rocky Myars, for the misterioes around uncle Walrus and for location.
For not be all perfect, the problem is the forced, fake end. But this is the problem of each Hallmark romance, with the difference than Max by Cody Longo is real a charming option for poor Jillian and the decision about mountain cabin is too...idealistic. But the final dialogue between Jillian and Marjorie is so, so beautiful than it fix a lot.

Both of the lead characters in this took every opportunity to offend and make enemies. Jillian had a way to make amends, often simply because of her success, but with Liam, there wasn't even that. This continued through at least a third of the movie and in some aspects up to almost half. Then, of course, they both become extremely winsome. Throw this on top of one of the more common premises in rom/coms - make a business work to become partner. Add lame situations and flat dialogue. The conflict was another overused plot device.
A B & B with no secondary income streams as a thriving start up business venture for investors???
The partners basically humiliated Jillian in one of the first scenes. You don't even allow the public pitch to become partner if you already know she doesn't have a major qualification (in your view). You take the pitch one on one and then coach her. I agree with another reviewer who said she should have walked out then. It really was humiliating to do it the way they did.
Did Hutchison and Myers have chemistry. Not for over half the movie. Then the climax and ending (which is past the point where chemistry should be developing) takes up another quarter. There was not enough screen time to show chemistry, much less justify why they might be "in love".
I can't remember the details, but there were a couple of additional times where I thought the director and/or the script handled an event or transition clumsily.
I watch a 2 hour TV movie on DVR while I work out. If I hadn't been sort of committed to this one, I would have turned it off about a third through.
