King James

Writers/ Directors: M.C. Nowell, Steve Balewicz brings us King James. A very entertaining and energetic Indy flick that delivers with great performances and very professional cinematography that takes you along for the ride.

Frank Vincent's (Michael Sawyer)mentor Jake (Doneugene Lattimore )gets killed during a botched undercover exchange with members of the Canon. A year later the guilt is killing him. He wants revenge so he keeps trying to find answers that will lead him to a meet with the Canon. A sad reunion with Jakes wife concludes there is no turning back. In memory of Jake he has to make things rite!

Frank finally gets to meet with the Canon represented by the leader King James ( Ken Anthony II) and his goons. An assortment of characters that bring a lot of charm and witty dialogue to the mix of things. The stand out performance of Peter Girard as lead goon Mathew McQueen is powerful yet playful Done! His character is a cold blooded killer but his genius of delivery makes it that much better. He puts a sinister comedic touch to the role that is just screaming a lead in a spinoff of that character! But his performance would not have been as good with out the support of creepy and weird deliveries from Sebastian Godin. His logic and deep conversation with our lead Frank, just has you rewinding. You see how much emotion in his face and hand gestures bring the character to life. When things take a turn and get supernatural, a entertaining Kii Hornick kicks in a really fun performance. Kii reminds me of a surfer dude trapped in this mess and trying to make sense of things. He works of the situation and other characters. With that he creates a nice full of life fun guy trying to make sense of what is happening. I don't want to give away to much, which really is the joy of this movie. But Frank deals with all his hurt and guilt and along with King James and his henchman take a ride to hell and back. When watching I thought hey this will be a run of the mill revenge driven movie. With creative gory kills and nothing else. I was wrong what you have here is yes a revenge flick but done so much better. I love movies when you go in thinking you know the plot and totally blown away with what actually unfolds. A mind blowing second half will have you begging for More. True Indy movies can't rely on big stars and budgets but can rely on great writing, direction and casting. Which is displayed here. Along with the above actors I mentioned there are also wonderful performances by the supporting actors Dustin Hubbard, Michael Spinelli, M.C. Nowell, Steve Balewicz, Doneugene Lattimore and Amoreena Hoeffler.

There is no way these guys aren't going to eventually be sued by Lebron James for this movie.

These guys basically ripped off every Netflix troupe of the last 15 years. If it weren't for the hot chicks this movie wouldn't be worth watching.

The fact that these guys are letting off live rounds in public places is not only dangerous but is going to get them shut down or is going to get the cops called on them. Use CGI or just don't write the scene!!!

Halyna Anatoliivna Hutchins was a cinematographer who was popped in the line of duty doing what she loved which was making films and if you aren't going to be safe then you have no business making movies like this. Steve and his girlfriend Emily are going to end up like Alex Baldwin.

A lack of preparation will end up getting someone hurt or worst.

This is going to be the most honest review that I can share with the audience and hope that they realize that this isn't a big budget film.

So in typical Rob Zombie fashion, Mike casts his cousin as the lead in another one of his films. Proof these two can't make it in life without using one another. It makes the movie impossible to watch seeing these two pretending to be movie stars.

The other guy, Steve, was a good filmmaker before these two highjacked the company and started making these low quality films and then they pocket all the money from the sales and yet somehow convince people to act for them.

Steer clear of this and just watch a John Carpenter film and think me later.
