After seeing People Just Do Nothing many years ago, I watched Peacock the day it came out - binged it all and I'm going to revisit again. The plot is hilarious the whole idea of making everything cringe and awkward for comedic effect, it's what they do best. Still bringing the charm it did from PJDN.
The only downside is that you'll be done with it under 2 hours, watching the 3 same episodes may make it harder to re-watch. However it is so much better than The Curse the other series they brought out.
I'm really looking forward to what they bring out next!

I think cringe comedy is getting a little stale but this was done well enough and the character was likable enough that it didn't matter.
A unique gym setting made for some funny situational jokes and the guy's struggle of growing old and looking for companionship is universal so it was relatable.
Many shows I've seen lately are filled with completely outlandish, unrelatable characters acting completely over the top absurd. So it starts to feel like watching a bunch of cartoon characters in increasingly contrived situations. This avoided that by grounding it reality, but still allowing for some silliness.
I recommend it...I hope there are some more episodes because it was kind of short to be honest.

If you like the office then you should like this... the main character is like a David Brent personnel trainer.
It's not a side splitting comedy but it will give you a few chuckles. Hope they make more episodes as it has potential.

Funny premise, silly main character, no jokes. No setups. No punchlines. It's like a student film made on a bigger budget. One of those films your mates gets excited to show you and you sit through bland sketches and desperate gurning. I guess this is what BBC Comedy throws money at, trying to recreate the magic of PJDN. Average.
This is a clever and insightful take on modern life. Not in your face "aren't I hilarious?" comedy, because most of the time that's not funny. You may not laugh out loud, but if it doesn't make you laugh inside at the relatable / cringeworthy moments, you just aren't watching it right. Or perhaps it's just not for you. Great effort on this and good to see the kurupt fm guys taking on new characters instead of sticking to the same old thing.
