Feel good movie

In this days when we just see a sea of bad news all around us this is one of those movies that makes you feel all warm inside at least for a bit. :)

Many cliches but good story. Acting is good. Is just goes to show everybody leaves a mark on someone's life.

Enjoyable

A cute movie about a reporter trying to find a secret santa type person to the general public. It feels more like a TV movie, but that doesn't detract from the good feeling it gives. An enjoyable easy watch.

Nice try

A rom com dealing with altruism, benevolence and kindness: that's definitely rare and reinvigorating! But this story is polluted by a careerist who wrongfully credits himself with the paternity of anonymous and generous gifts (well, until then, it's unfortunately a classic) while the probability that the truth will be revealed, sooner or later, one way or another, is close to 100% (there, it's desperately becoming moronic). In my humble opinion, you may consider this movie as a cheap popcorn romantic comedy with a perfectible script and an atmosphere excessively childish.

Gaffes
29 minutes into the film, the New York City skyline as seen from Sheep Meadow is shown, but the image is backwards. At the end of the film, the skyline is shown again, but the image has been modified with some buildings removed and others added. These errors are apparently the result of these scenes not actually being filmed in New York and the skyline being added by an artist after filming.

At the end of the movie, in the park a student came up wanting to send a thank you to Good Sam. Said she and others received a scholarship and showed a coin as proof. What was the coin?
Is it completely legal for someone to give $100,000 in cash like they do in the movie? I know the IRS requires someone who gifts over $15,000 to legally report and file that, so they may or may not be taxed on the gift.
