Really good show

The show is focusing on a psychologist who is helping people to solve their problems by triggering them to face their issues instead of just sitting and talking about them. The show has good screenplay and good directing and really doesn't fall far from any Hollywood drama.

Trigger is a great Russian series even after passing season 2

Trigger is a great Russian series. From the very beginning, it feels similar to The Method. If in The Method showed the opposite side of Russia, its province. Then Trigger poses the capital's life. In general, the plot itself is not poorly built, there is a good camera work by the standards of Russia. Some series are especially the first 3-4 much better than the rest. Unless the last 14-16 episodes begin to rapidly accelerate the plot. The cast does not differ in big names, except for Igor Kostolevsky of course. I advise everyone to watch, cool for Russian TV. The only disappointment is the finale. Well, you can't end the season like that, even if you know in advance that there will be 2.

Season 2 was a level worse. The plot develops sluggishly, again, all the action begins to expand rapidly only in the last 3-4 series. The dynamics of what is happening has sagged significantly. Of course, the spoiler for season 3 at the very end gives hope that season 3 will be final and all answers to questions from the viewer will be given.

A great first season!

TV series: The first season, which KP has nothing to do with, is just wow! After all, Tsekalo and his production company Sreda do one thing: Major, Method, the Other side of the Moon and Patient Zero.

But the second season is already much weaker, but still interesting and even the desire to watch the future third season remains.

The 2023 Film: Well, what can I say.

To make a movie based on a series that won't... - he must go beyond the framework and offer something new, otherwise it will just be a stretched series. The authors tried, but for some reason it didn't work out.

Some scenes are good, but this is not a continuation of the series, but an offshoot, so it's interesting to watch, and then bam. Titles. And you realize that you have spent 1.5 hours of your life on some kind...

I'm waiting for the third season and I hope that there will be a good product, and not this one....

This text was written in March of this year, and below is a review of the latest season 3, which, unfortunately, has not yet become the final show for the show.

The season finale was released a long time ago, but it turned out to be watched only now. What was wrong?

If season 1 had an interesting main storyline and each episode dealt with interesting patients, which turned the series into a procedural and some kind of detective story, then the further the seasons went, the worse it was, both with the plot and with the patients.

Season 2 had an unexpected ending and season 3 just wanted to wait. After all, KP rarely indulges in good new projects or the continuation of old ones.

And so season 3 came out and was watched. The plot could fit in half an hour. It is served through blotches spread over 8 series. There's a good ending again. More precisely, the teaser of season 4, presented immediately after the end of the season.

Were there any interesting patients? No, it wasn't. We tried to understand modern youth psychotrauma, but in contrast to the past, it looks ridiculous and frivolous.

I would like to wish the authors to work better on the plot and end this whole circus as soon as possible.

We bought a good show to turn it into a piece of trash. Gradually, but nevertheless.

Amazing innovative idea in psychology and great acting

This is a piece of art that fairly shows the good and bad in shock therapies

Repetitive and boring

I went into this show with high expectations as my friend recommended it to me as one of the best shows she'd ever watched. And because of that the disappointment was even worse. I found the show ridiculously repetitive and predictable, as well as severe under-researched. Attention to detail seems a foreign concept altogether to the creators of Trigger, as there were so many instances where I rolled my eyes at somewhat minor details that stuck out like a sore thumb (for example, there was a scene at a tattoo shop where the artist was about to tattoo a client's neck while they were sitting up on a stool).

I also found it very annoying that every episode had to involve sex/cheating. Not everything in life revolves around it, and so making it such a major part of the show seemed very immature to me, like the writers just wanted to show how different they are from everyone else and how they're not afraid to speak about sexual relationships. That's nice and all but it's redundant.

Additionally, the characters are very under-developed, and most of them just have one (1) trait, which is either to love or to hate the main character. They are incapable of doing anything else.

Finally, the ending of season one was alright, through clearly only made for shock value, and the ending of season two was outright ridiculous. I don't know why they've decided to include those last 30 seconds, but without them the ending would've been so much better. Overall, a total disappointment.

"That buzzword" - the screenwriter, probably

The series terribly misrepresents counceling and therapy, showing it as a process which is violent and disresective towards the client. The stories lie to viewers that by provoking the worst traumatic experiences a client could have, disrespecting and teasing the client's vulnerabilities, a "therapist" can somehow bring them to healing.
