Avis à la une
He uses the "F-word" way too much. Like, it's not always necessary for the joke. It actually takes away from the joke because you're thinking, "My god he's said the F-word 16 times already!"
With that being said, his jokes were pretty brilliant. He definitely gave us a funny way of looking at things! If it wasn't for all the constant neverending cussing, I'd give this a 10. He had me and my husband laughing quite a bit and nodding and saying things like, "Well, he's not wrong!"
Very entertaining. We watched Russell Brand's new standup the other night, and this was much better. Much, much better.
PS- I don't know if he recycles the material from his podcasts because I don't follow that. So everything I heard was brand new to me.

Normally I'm a big fan of Joe's comedy, but I wasn't feeling this one.
He starts out with typical anti-Trump jokes (which we've all heard 100x before), then anti-Hillary, then anti-government. It's cool. It's just comedy. But it's not new material.
The rest of his performance is a mix between examples of how life is bizarre, how weed is getting legalized, imitations of women, and overdrawn apologies about how he didn't want to offend anyone. It misses the mark, and we've heard this all before, especially from Joe. If you listen to his podcasts, he talks about this stuff incessantly.
There were some funny moments because of Joe's expressive nature, but I feel like I couldn't relate to this performance at all. In my opinion, some of his best work isn't when he's critiquing how bizarre things are to him, but when his comedy is bizarre. No one thinks covering up your nipples is strange. No one thinks women giving birth is either. This Netflix special is like a rehash from both his "Talking Monkeys in Space" and "Triggered" material.

Pretty much a cringefest in my opinion, as always with his stand-up. He comes in with a lot of energy in this one YELLING the entire time, which pretty much pressures the crowd into laughing / applauding at stuff that's really just not funny at all. One or two good bits in this to be fair, but it's all just recycled stuff that we've already heard on his podcast for years. Not even worked into any funny type of way. Poor Joe. You're a great podcast host but not a good stand-up comedian.
I like Joe Rogan's podcast and was curious to see him as a comedian. He really isn't bad. But a lot of it wasn't really funny. Not offensive just not funny. One thing that I found hilarious was the part about vegans and animals. And this has nothing to do with me being against vegans. I am for saving animals and admire them. I liked how Joe Rogan even said that most vegans are good, an he said it in a pretty fun way. I loved all the other jokes on the topic as well as his whole body language. I wold say that difference between cat and dog personalities is a common joke but he did it in a very special way. And this topic was a big part of the stand up so I can say I enjoyed most of it.
This show is one hour. Which is a blessing, given the podcast can go up to three hours. The downside: there is no guest.
